Readable from across the room
The face carries the state before the number does. Wide awake, heavy-lidded, asleep. You can read it while walking back with a coffee.
Nothing on your screen
No window, no overlay, no menu bar tenant. The display is somewhere your eyes already wander when you stop typing.
One key, not two
It will use the same screen mode key as the software version. Buying that now covers this when it exists.
Still reads locally
Same approach as the app: it talks to your own machine on your own network. Nothing about you takes a trip through anyone's cloud.
The object itself is still being built
Work on the physical version is under way: a pile of parts, a soldering iron and a 3D printer with opinions. There is no price, no date and no waiting list, because promising either would be guessing. Progress shows up on this page first.
Screen mode below works today, on a monitor or tablet you already have, and the key you buy for it covers the object when it arrives.

Where the key goes
Open Quotzy › Settings
Click the robot in the menu bar, then Settings. The Screen tab is the last one.
Paste the key
It looks like XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX and arrived in the email from Lemon Squeezy. Paste it whole, dashes included.
Pick a display
Screen mode appears in the same tab. Choose which display it takes over, and whether it starts with your Mac.
